Para mim, como para Andr\u00e9-Bloc, da L\u2019Architecture d\u2019Aujourd\u2019hui<\/i>, Niemeyer foi sempre o arquiteto a representar a promessa da Am\u00e9rica Latina. Ele \u00e9 a figura \u00fanica que transformou o legado da plan libre<\/i> de Le Corbusier num novo tipo de espa\u00e7o hedonista que se fundia \u00e0 paisagem. Nesse sentido, sua perspectiva libertadora, no seu auge, era insepar\u00e1vel da vis\u00e3o de mundo de Roberto Burle Marx. Como Alvar Aalto, ele foi um arquiteto que seguiu as primeiras incurs\u00f5es dos chamados pioneiros do Movimento Moderno, e ao faz\u00ea-lo introduziu no discurso moderno um conceito mais sens\u00edvel da racionalidade a servi\u00e7o do humano. Isso, junto a seu programa pol\u00edtico libertador, garantir\u00e1 a crescente import\u00e2ncia cultural de seu trabalho no futuro.<\/p>\n

On Niemeyer<\/h2>\n
For me, as for Andre-Bloc of L\u2019Architecture d\u2019Aujourd\u2019hui<\/i>, Niemeyer was always the one architect who represented the promise of Latin America. He is the one figure who transformed the legacy of Le Corbusier\u2019s plan libre<\/i> into a new kind of hedonistic space that fused into the landscape. In this regard his liberative vision, in its prime, was inseparable from the worldview of Roberto Burle Marx. Like Alvar Aalto he was an architect who followed on the first excursions of the so called pioneers of the Modern Movement and so doing introduced into the receive modern discourse a more sensuous concept of rationality in the service of the human subject. This together with his liberative political agenda will guarantee the increasing cultural significance of his work in years to come.<\/p>\n
